I have done a circumcision on the 9th of December, visited the urologist the day after, one week after and four weeks after the procedure and he told me I'm good to go although I have a small edema around my frenulum area.
My question is if I'm fully healed should I use a condom with my girlfriend or is it ok to go unprotected?

If I were you I would wait till the edema has completed subsided because it might aggravate during intercourse. Even if you are completely healed it would be still wise to wait for a total of 6 weeks before resuming such activities in my opinion . If you can't wait , it would be wise to use a condom but be careful as the latex might irritate the incision site . Going unprotected might be too harsh as well . All the best !
To be honest as soon as the doctor gave me permission I came home and masturbated which was odd, new "toy" new way of playing and I wasnt used to. As soon as I finished below the incision area it swole a bit because of some friction due to the new way of masturbating. I have applied some repairing cream (cicalfate) and it was ok after one or two hours. The good thing about it was that the swelling on other parts of the penis was reduced probably because of the blood flowing again in this area. I have masturbated again and it was way easier than the first time and had caused no swelling. Also the doctor told me that I could do everything, I trust him a lot my circumcision was painless (thankfully) and he told me that time will take care of the edema. My real question was with or without, I'll try both gently.
Yeap please do as there have been many guys around the forum with swellings that had not subsided even after a year . And if your doctor has cleared you for it I think it should be fine . I would say it would be best to not use a condom as I feel latex and the friction might aggravate the wound . All the best !
Follow the doctors advice, but generally people wait 6 weeks to let all the scar tissue settle.
It was all good (no condom), I was a bit concerned because of the edema and the scar line but with the lub everything went smoothly. The only thing was that my penis it's still gaining the original size and I feel that the below the gland is stretching and made some friction. Nothing major still using Cicalfate to repair and hydrate the skin. 🤩
Have you had sexual intercourse again? Did you have any problems with swelling? I hit 4 weeks today and was thinking about going for it this week..
Yes I was travelling with my gf for 10 straight days and we had sex almost everyday. Now she's back to her hometown and i'm at my hometown during lockdown, so masturbation is the only option. Everything is working well and the swelling is almost inexistent. Nor pain or discomfort.
Keep in mind that everyone has a different situation I only went forward with my doctor's approval. I think everyone who goes through the circumcision should wait until their dr says it's good to go.
Hey what type of surgery did you go through and how was your sex experience with and without foreskin ?
I did the circumcision because my foreskin was stretching too much causing small wounds, therefore sex was enjoyable but I always had issues. Now that I don't have that kind of problems sex is great, however I lost a bit of the sensitivity that I had on the gland of the penis.. but i prefer this way. Each one of us have different problems, visions and situations that lead us to take the decision of having or not the surgery. Think well.
