Frenuloplasty hasn’t worked

I had a frenuloplasty 20 days ago.

I never received any stitches and the swelling is completely gone.

I can retract the foreskin much further than I could prior to the procedure, but nowhere near past the head.

I’m really disappointed, as I had the choice between this or a circumcision - I’ll now likely have to wait a year+ for the latter.

The doctor did say it would take eight weeks to know the result, but I can’t find anything corroborating this online and it doesn’t seem to be retracting any further as the days go on.

Is there any chance the procedure could still prove to be a success?

20 days is not a long time for full healing. If the frenulum has been cut, what is stopping you retracting?

I think it must be the frenulum, as the doctor said my foreskin is fine and not too tight.

You need to give it time and follow any post-op instructions your surgeon gave you.

I never got any post-op instructions. I’ve read through this forum for post-op care tips and tried to stretch it as best as I can.

Do you believe it could suddenly loosen a bit? I’m really searching for a glimmer of hope.

If frenulum scar reacts similar way than circumcision scar it will loosen 3-6 months post-op, but we all heal differently. You'll see.
