I tried to sleep on my back but for me it was impossible. So, the best solution for me was to sleep on my side with my knees bent up making sure my surgery area didn’t touch the bed! First week or so I don’t get a whole lot of sleep, really!
My doctor didn’t put a dressing on me and yes they are prickly but if you lay on your side and put the ointment they give you with a pillow between your legs you should be fine. I’m on day 5 of the surgery so it’s kinda weird it’s hurting me now before it didn’t hurt me as bad. The worse thing to be honest is getting erections 😭
Hi, Ferbrizo. And yes, bro, I know exactly what you mean with the erections hurting. Like, it's 5:39am where I am... Why do you think I'm awake at this time? We're all in this together tho and we are still in stage one of the healing process. We just gotta be patient and endure haha.
And thanks for the pillow advice. And dude, if the pain is too bad, take Paracetamol or Ibuprofen. My surgeon told me that. In the past days, I'd normally take 2 Paracetamol capsules before sleep. You do find yourself sleeping easier after that!
Good luck on your journey bro! Keep us all updated and hopefully we can help each other ^^
I hear ya lol I’ve been taking hydrocodone also I haven’t had much pain since just recently. Well the pain I have is described as uncomfortable, it’s not sensitive as much but everyone has a different way of healing. The only shit that sucks is raking your shaft against the blanket when you pull it off from you and catches on the stitches.. uff 😑
