It’s my 8th day & doctor have told me to keep the junior open and not dressed up with gauze anymore but doing that I feel stingy sensation as stitches are still there and whenever the penis moves it stings, is this ok or maybe should i try applying dressing (gauze) for one more week?
My doctor told me the same thing. I bit the bullet and dealt with the stingy sensation!

Try applying Vaseline to the areas if you are not already helps stop it from sticking helps with irritation and helps to cushion the areas. after removing my pressure bandage I continued to dress my penis twice a day with bandages and gauzes for up to 1.5-2 weeks before I took the plunge to wear no dressings and start wearing underwear. If you do start applying bandages and you wait around 1 and half weeks to 2 weeks you will still have to bite the bullet but hopefully it won’t be as bad as now with it stinging and that.
Everyone deals with it slightly differently. If you don’t wear dressings do apply Vaseline after cleaning your penis daily and will just add that little comfort when you put on your underwear. If you are at home and you can walk around naked do so but I’d recommend getting a non stick gauze with small amount off Vaseline evenly spread on then apply it to the underside of your penis in the frenulum area and curve it around a bit of your glans using medical tape to secure it this will allow the air to get to it but also help protect your penis.

It’s the stitches that are bothering me; though it is much better than yesterday as somehow the stitches are harder today then yesterday and they are not moving along with penis as yesterday it was like a thread and gave me stings.
I have no issues with sensitivity though it is all fine with the glans (atleast i can sustain them)
Ahh I didn’t have stitches except in my frenulum area. I had glue mainly that’s what I opted for. Have you been keeping your penis clean and dry? I know the stitches are causing you issues but try not to mess with them too much they should soon fall out and dissolve very soon.
i been keeping it clean & dry (though am not able to dry it off with towel, so i just stand infront of an table fan & let it do the work 😜); Doc has given me some kind of anti bacterial ointment to apply on the cut.
Just hoping stitches should fall soon.
Am not day 8, when does stitches usually starts falling off? (Those stitches stings are really uncomfortable though)
Whatever works mate lol you could even use a hair dryer on a warm setting not hot. Totally your choice. That’s good keep applying that stuff on as guided by your doctor it will really help.
They will do mate just keep monitoring it.
Your surgeon should of provided you this info. 12-14 days for dissolvable stitches/sutures. Non dissolving stitches must be removed. It can take up to 3 weeks for the stitches to fall out. Do not pull any loose sutures or stitches this may open up your wound.

So you are telling me a doctor would tell them how to dry their penis. What they could do to make their recovery much better and easier for them from someone who has been through it and we know what it’s like most the time you are on your own with little info it is stressful and you can’t just keep phoning the doctor or surgeon every few minutes.
That info about the stitches is from my aftercare leaflets from my surgeon. I’m passing on my knowledge but also helpful tips. Have you been circumcised at a young age?
