Day 14 post circumsision
Hi JcoadyIt is still very early days, I am now in day 27 and still feeling sensitive, but it has got a bit better. I found just letting it hang without bandages after Day 5 helped with the decreasing. But only do what your doctor has told you to do.
I’ve seen people say don’t use gauze and just let your glands get use to the friction but I tried that and instantly wanted to pull my underwear off I had tears in my eyes it was that bad I’m just gonna keep wrapping in gauze and play the long game I never wanna go through that again 😂
Buena suerte y hazle caso a tu médico. Cuando cumplas el mes, verás que ya no es tanto problema!
You've got two choices Bro. Bight the bullet and stop the gauze and it will desensitise quickly. Or keep protecting it for a slow but less irritating desensitisation. It will get there though, your brain comes to realise this is the new normal
Probably being a bit over protective. Start introducing gentle and regular pressure/touch.Time to free willy !
Hi, sorry about your situation. I got a circumcision 4.5 months ago, my penis was very sensitive for about 6 weeks. I believe it is normal, you just have to wait some more. Do not masturbate and minimize erections as much as possible. After about 4-5 weeks I started going for short walks outside, slowly increasing the distance walked. It helps get your penis used to being without a foreskin. It will hurt at first, so try and walk slowly without any sudden movements. I usually walked for about 2-3 km but if it's too painful, take shorter distances. I believe making the glans get used to not having foreskin is very important.
I can walk fine as I’m electrician I’m back at work now but I can only walk fine with gauze on if I was to take it off and have pants on the sensitivity is just to much for my body even if I try my hardest it’s the worse feeling ever but noticed this morning that one or two stiches have come off with some scabs and managed to have a hard on yestaday and didn’t really hurt like it did in first week so progress is being made but very very slowly thank you for your comment 🙂
Glad to hear you are improving. I worked before getting my circumcision, but since Aug 19 (date of surgery) and until mid October I did not work, simply because it would be too painful for me to work. Gladly, I could afford to do that. It will hurt a lot, trust me. In my case, I first got used to walking in just my underwear around the house. I would advise you to try that first for a week when you have free time off work. Walk around without a gause and it should certainly get better at least in your underwear. Then I would take the next step and when you have free time walk without a gause in your regular pants, preferably the loosest ones you have so that it is easier and the friction is not too strong. That's what I did. It used to hurt very much for me, but with time it gets better.
If you have any discharge on wound it is suggested still cover the incision site against stretching, tension and friction of clothes. You don't have to cover your glans, if there is no wound on it.

Part of the modern wound care is to cover the wound until the incision site is healed and there is no discharge anymore.
A strip of paraffin gauze to contact layer prevents the woven gauze stuck into dried wound discharge.
