Tight/loose underwear?

Hi guys, i'm currently on my 17th day post-op. I have to go out to work tomorrow so I was wondering if wearing tight or loose underwear would be good? I tried tight, and the stitches keep poking me and it gets rather uncomfortable. But I'm also afraid that loose ones will keep grazing onto my stitches and have the same problem. Any advice would be great!

Why don't you just use gauze on it still? It doesn't matter what you wear then. Use skin adhesive tape to attach it properly.

Alright will try thanks! How tight should the gauze be? And it should only cover the stitches area right?

Personal preference for me was firm to start with. I found it easier to overcome discomfort. Used gauze and Vaseline with dark coloured pants (I get hot from moving a lot at work and vaso melts). I hope you find what works for you.

I had the same problem and I wasn't given enough gauze when I left the hospital. I wore tight boxers and the stitches kept catching on me or my boxers so I used a thing panti liner instead of gauze and used some vasaline also. Worked a treat and thankfully noone could tell I had a pad down there haha.

Same! I went out for a full day yesterday, and I used tape and gauze to cover. Worked wonders because I couldn't feel a thing and no one knew that I did the surgery.
