Day 6 Bruising

Surprised by amount of bruising and discomfort on glans. Is this typical of what others have experienced, presumably due to how the penis is held during circumcision?

That is significant bruising and just keep a close watch on the bruise. It should gradullay subside and go away with time . Do not put additional pressure on it as such and have you been given any analgesics or additional medications ?

Also any time you seen black/necrosed tissue best to get back in contact with your doc. Also hoping you have constant follow ups with your doc regularly till the bruising diaappers. All the best !

I had similar bruising after my recirc but like you, limited pain . Looked awful though fof a couple of weeks.

A recircumcision does take longer to heal up because its TWO surgeries—opening the original scar and then doing another procedure. My recircumcision looked way worse and took much longer to heal. Well worth it!

ALL adult circumcisions look like that, buddy. Don’t let the appearance scare you off—it’s NOT painful, just inconvenient for a few weeks. If you want to get circumcised, do it! Many adults have had the procedure and are pleased with the results.

Thanks for the advice mate. I don’t particularly want a circumcision, I’ve just been diagnosed with a condition called lichen Sclerosus (BXO) so I’m likely to be forced into having one as it’s the best chance of a cure.

Hi, that's very bruised looking keep things clean with some salted water. I remember mine came up after a few days as well it gradually went over a couple of weeks.

I had quite severe bruising also. It took about 2 weeks to clear up. I spent a lot of time sitting down without underwear during that time.

Hey man, how is the bruising? Did it go away? I'm on day 4 today and it's pretty bruised as well near the frenulum. Give us an update of your condition. Wish a quick recover for you.

Hi, it cleared up fine, much like any other bruising scenario. Just give it time and you will be fine in c10 days.

Hi I had a re circ in January of this year I think I must have been very lucky as I had no bruising or swelling to speak of apart from 1 lump which was a tied off vein that lump took about 2 months to go down.

I think the reason I had no real bruising or swelling was tight underwear with my penis pointing upwards & taking high dosage of vitamin C 2 weeks before & during the healing period.
