Glans sticking to my undergarments

Hey so i’m on day 11 of my circumcision and there is a fair amount of sticking with my glans and boxers, every now and then i pull on my boxers to unstick them and it hurts a lot cause of the sensitivity. I’m trying to do it more so I can get used to the pain. Any of you have anything that would help prevent the sticking? I’ve tried petroleum jelly but i feel like that just makes it stick more. Also, is this how it will be forever? Will there always be sticking?

I had this happen to me and it caused some bleeding on day 18. I panicked and called my doctor who advised I should wear loose underwear and if it keeps sticking when you notice it sticks either rinse with water before pulling the pants off or put some tissue down there when I wear underwear and soak it off.

It is useful to replace the initial bandage with a loose wrap of gauze (lightly coated inside with vaseline) to prevent the glans sticking to underwear or stitches catching in them. Replace the gauze any time it becomes wet with urine, or at least every other day until the stitches are out.
