I just took the bandage off after soaking the penis in a Luke warm bath, now that I added triple antibiotic as instructed, any recommendations?

Night time erections are a little painful and you can avoid it by laying on your side and drawing your legs up to your chest when you feel like one is coming . Alternatively you can put a damp cloth on yourself when you feel one is coming up .

Also most importantly , limit water intake after 6pm and void your bladder as many times as you need and espect before you go to bed .

Other suggestions would be to keep the area dry and clean . Use only unscented non chemical products on the head no other products other than has been prescribed to you by your doctor . Hope this helps !

Thank you I’ll do that for sure!

I had erections today in the morning and they were more uncomfortable than painful but now that the bandage is gone i don’t know if that going to change how painful they are, do you know?

Erections are bound to cause a little pain or dicomfort at least for the first 10-15 days in some so don't worry much Abt it and if it comes up you can stop with the methods written above . Not sure if removing the dressing will change things much but you should be fine . All the best !

Please refrain from taking ANY medicines suggested by any forum members . Always check with your doctor and act accordingly. Augmentin is a strong antibiotic and may cause anaphylaxis in some . Please refrain from taking this and call up your doctor for post op orders.

My recommendation: wash it daily > dry it > spread ointment > cover with gauze > repeat until it is healed.

Why? By covering incision line you maintain more optimal moisture level and temperature for healing and protect the wound from friction and the ointment stays on better when not wiped off to undies or trousers.

When stitches are about to fall off a gauze or strips of skin adhesive tape support the wound edges not to open when you'll have nocturnal erections.
