This is day 3 Post circumcision. Should my penis be still swollen? Do you have any tips on reducing the swelling?

I’m glad I saw your post. I got an hematoma and my penis was really swollen. It actually started bleeding uncontrollably and couldn’t stop day 8 i think. So I got to be reoperated and rushed by ambulance. So here is my advice from experience: keep it pointing up towards your navel or body when standing and sitting. When laying it moves itself so not much to do. Don’t try to squeeze or manipulate with it. You can only also wash what you can see so don’t try to pull everything down and so on. - I got to sleep with some special net underwear and so on for it to be pointing up. But I think some slightly tight underpants helps it. I have had It pointing up for a month now. And I’m 40 days in I think. When I received the hematoma then the surgeon/urologist said some bleeding is ok. I hope yours will do fine. Pls it’s just a matter of time, I can say. And if yours does as mine which is rareee don’t worry, then try to compress with a cloth and dial the not-emergency number and tell about situation, and if bleeding keeps on ask for being picked up. Mine looked like yours just without so much bruising. Just relax, it’s just time. And if you see any white/yellow stuff coming out, then also contact. But you can’t see what’s going on under the swelling so let it be and don’t try to manipulate so much.. best regards

That looks very painful ouch. Put ice on him 2x a day and keep it upright as much as possible. Maybe wrap him up in a bandage everyday aswell which will help with swelling

Ice and point penis up and propped against your underwear ... although it looks bad it might fall under the realm of normal post circ swelling, im 16 days out from my circ and I’ve been icing it at night (helps with erections) and wrapping it with gauze Vaseline and neosporin when I gotta leave the house for work and what not

It will take 6-8 weeks for your circumcision to fully heal, and possibly longer if you suffered from LS or diabetes, which can slow down healing.

It 3 days post-op I would expect to see considerable swelling, which will slowly go down, especially after all stitches are out.

I have never seen so much bruising as you have though.

Keep your penis held reasonably still and pointing upwards to drain away some lymph that increases the swelling. Do this by wearing close fitting briefs and not boxers during healing.

Thank you all very much for your help

Ice has no benefit for swelling unless the injury's caused by a sprain (research it), it'll just make it cold. Pointing upwards is good advice though.
