Hey guys I'm on day 9 of Circumcision. Went through with operation because of phimosis. Currently I sleep naked and stay naked all day to let the gland dry out. I still have stitches. Any word of advice? I know this is only temporary but I feel like I cant continue.

9th day post operation.
There's no need to actually stay naked all the time . For me I used to wear loose towels esp since I had hypersensitivity and the contact with the towel helped me lessen the hypersensitivity . I also used vaseline petroleum jelly but this is only if you are hypersensitive . I changed to loose shorts 10 days after circ.
About the the stitches , it will fall off by themselves and you don't have to do anything about it. If it doesn't fall off by 5 weeks or so then you can get it removed or else no worries.
Warm water baths can help with swelling if you have any . All the best !
Much appreciated. I to am hyper sensitive. I've been avoiding wearing anything because I'm afraid of pain. But I guess I cant let the fear consume me.
If you are hypersensitive , the more you need the contact of the glans with cloth and while bathing your hands etc . This will help you out alot and also for me since it was too uncomfortable I used vaseline petroleum jelly on the glans for a week or so and it showed results after 5 - 7 days . Initially the pain/discomfort will be there but it will get better over time. All the best !
I got circumcised due to phimosis 2 and a half months ago. I still feel hypersensitivity on my glans and scar line, especially after I shower. The bruising also came back since I switched to tight boxer briefs. I just started using petroleum jelly too.
When you used petroleum jelly and wore shorts or underwear did the cloth get stuck to the glans at all?
I actually used petroleum jelly in my second week and simultaneously changed to loose shorts at the start of second week . The constant contact managed to desensitize my glans up till it became bearable. When I applied the petroleum jelly the cloth didnt stick to my glans but it did get stained which I wasn't happy with .
Just a small amount of petroleum jelly worked for me and I didn't apply too much (just like a thin film ) and I think if you apply it as a thin film yours won't stick as well.
Also since you have bruising coming back , you might want to wait for a bit longer and use loose shorts before switching over . Hope this helps !
I am starting week 7 of recovery from circumcision for phimosis. First 10 days, don't panic about swelling or stitches. The body is gearing up to heal. After Day 10, you start seeing progress in increments.
For me, my stitches fell out at week 4. The fell out in the shower and rubbing against the bandaging. The last 5 were stubborn as they stuck to scabs and dead skin.
I felt miserable at the beginning to, but I promise it gets better. I have been sleeping without bandaging and naked since week 3 (still had stitches and swelling) . It's only now I am sleeping without bandaging and with my underwear on, carefully sleeping on my back or side.
You will get through this. I remember on Day 9 I was dreading that the operation went wrong. The body is still doing it's initial swelling recovery. Keep us posted week by week.
I think it's good you are staying naked when possible it let's air to your scar and helps with healing I did this when I was first circumcised and I healed quickly I also wore light cotton lounge pants when I needed to wear something I agree vaseline is good to help sensitivity on the head and I found over time it got bearable to wear briefs. We all heal differently so it what works for you
