Does an open wound post circumcision heal on its own?

I got a circumcision 11 days ago and whatever they used to close it up ripped and now have an open wound on part of it but the rest seems to be healing well. Their also is some uneven swelling...how long until that goes away

Swelling will be uneven but later will even out and it takes anywhere around 3-6weeks usually to come down completely . Don't worry much about it. Warm baths also helps with reducing the inflammation.

Hi lgroh keep the wound clean wash with salt water 2 times a day take great care you don't want to hurt him dry off I used a air dryer then put vasalene on I did this for 3 weeks the swelling will go down in time we all heal differant when you are ready / 6 weeks plus you need to massage him in coconut oil this is also very good for masterbation/ sex and good for your skin also you might want to get some fragrance free cream to keep moist AQUEOUS cream is very good all these 3 items are cheap and they all work well if you are in any pain or discomfort then see your doc but to be fair your Willy looks ok good luck and take care

its better to go back to ur surgeon and ask some advice what u do or ask them if its ok to re stitch just like mine before my surgeon re stitch my open wound because if dont it will take long to heal

Damn my doctor not re stitch my own wound she said heal by ah secondary.

I had a friend that broke stitches and his incision opened up. I think the word for it is "dehiscence". Anyhow, he chose not to go back to the doctor but let it heal as is. Now he has an unsightly scar on the right side of his penis and his glans curves to the left. 😂
