I’ve been circumcised going on two weeks. I’m not use to some of the sensations far as the head rubbing up against my clothes. When i was uncircumcised i didn’t have that to worry about. Now that i am i get an erection to often because my under wear constantly rubs up against it. Is this normal? What can i do to dull down the sensitivity?

Hi i got mine done on the 9th. While the sensitivity is awful. It certainly calms down. At first i thought it wasn't going to. Now within last couple of days its got way better rapidly (thank god for that). Some people recommended Vaseline but i never tried that as i wanted the air flow to be okay. I also am still wearing baggy joggers or sweatpants if your in america also tight underwear helps amazing to hold it in the spot most comfy. Hope this helps

I’m at week 6 and I still have this problem but it’s not anywhere near as sensitive as it was, it’ll go away, I put some oil based lube on it sometimes which helped when I went back to work

Your excess sensitivity will gradually reduce as the glans gets used to contact with clothig, etc. However if it is too much for now, wear close fitting briefs instead of boxers so that the penis can be restricted from rubbing so much. Also, point the penis upwards in the underwear to reduce swelling.

Hey it has been two weeks exactly after my circumscision. The skin just below the head of my penis is still swelled. Although it doesn't feel like it is a swelling. It does not pain anymore. I'm afraid that will this swelling be permanent. Although it doesn't seem like it is a swelling. Please help. I'm very much tensed.

Swelling is normal. I would say you do need to have a ice pack on it. It helps tremendously with sweliing

Medical opinion is that ice packs may have some benefit when used on sprains and bruising but ineffective for this type of swelling. Please research before recommending.

It's easy to research and check efficacy of such suggestions. At the same time 'placebo effect' is also worth looking into.

Not tried it myself but many posters on here recommend ice pack to reduce penis swelling. Important thing to remember is no direct contact. Wrap ice pack in clean cloth first.

Better way to keep healing with swelling on a normal curve by covering it and using petroleum jelly, medical honey oinment (or topical antibiotic ointment).

"Dry wound care" is fine if the incision line will stay sealed post-op and there is no discharge or scabbing on it.

You will lose the sensitivity before too long. Mine stopped being so sensitive about a month after I got circumcised.

I get swelling on the head it gets worse day by day and the colour is like grey whitey
