Is being circumcised the best decision you boys made?

Circumcised yes or no?
No, but getting married either.
Is that health related?
Because if you have a medical issue that needs circumcision to be solved, then of course is a right decision.
In absence of medical problems, to find a non therapeutical surgery as your "best" decision would be a subject for a different forum.
On a personal level yes it was. However it was done for medical reasons to cure a chronic condition I’d been wrestling with for 20 years.
What surprised me most was the bonus of no longer suffering UTIs, bladder and kidney infections. I no longer get the sensitivity in my bladder that I didn’t realise I had previously and this has had a beneficial impact on how and when I urinate. It’s now not unusual for me to sleep though the night without the need to use the toilet two or three times. This in turn means I can now stay overnight with friends if I want to without the embarrassment of using their toilet during the night. Previously I would invariably decline such hospitality.
[Edit] I also noticed my confidence and self-esteem improved post-op although I have no idea why. Others have mentioned this as an aside in their posts so maybe it’s a thing?
Can you please tell us why you are asking this question.
Cause I have phimosis and the urology have give me a decision to go ahead with the surgery. But I think I am
For me it was the best decision because I always wanted it done. However, if you are not sure and not having any problems. Well don’t have it done.
Worst decision ever. Both because cosmetically it turned out badly and I lost alot of sensitivity and sex haven't been the same since.
The worst decision I ever made. Mine was done because the Dr thought an inflammation could lead to skin cancer. Skin cancer test later was negative. I’ve lost all sensitivity in my penis and sex is terrible. I can’t get myself over stimulated to ejaculate. Every male Dr I’ve talked to looks at me and says like “I’m circumcised and it’s fine so get over it give it time”. They were cut as an infant and I as an older adult. Big difference. Don’t do it unless you absolutely have to for medical reasons.
Oh I hope I don’t lose sensitivity. Thank you for your comment.
So don’t do it if you don’t have to. If you have phimosis try the stretching exercises before you get cut. I’m actually doing foreskin restoration right now trying to get some sensitivity back but not sure if it will work. Read the book “The joy of uncircumcising “ and you won’t let them near you with a scalpel. I read it after the fact and it really opened my eyes but to late for me.
I have phimosis so it’s not a nice condition to have and I’ve been stretching for over a year and I’ve managed to pull back my foreskin when flaccid but not when erect. It’s literally impossible when erect to pull back.
I am in the same situation man. Message me if you want to talk.
I wish I had an answer for the sensitivity lose. I’ve talked to a sex therapy coach and she said you need to focus on other things that turn you on but it’s not as easy as it sounds. First you need a partner that is willing to help also. My wife is not that sexually aggressive so it’s not easy. I’m trying foreskin restoration but that’s a long slow process. You can have it done surgically but I’m not letting a scalpel near my penis again.
Yes I’ve had to stretch I could never pull back when flaccid but now I can. It’s took time but I’ve managed it to work. But can’t pull back when flaccid. What I done to stretch was having hot baths 2x a day maybe and trying pull back my foreskin every time I had a bath and just keep trying that and mine worked eventually.
Yeah that’s what I do I just kept pulling it back until it was retractable. And yes there is many Exercises but I just don’t know them, search them up maybe but I’m getting circumcised this year anyways.
Yes
When we focus too much on what we have lost (the foreskin) we do not feel what we have gained in sensations!! I never had as much pleasure as since I was circumcised! Each cm2 of my glans is stimulated whether during masturbation or sex. Feeling the rubs on the crown of the glans coming out is something that only a circumcised can feel.
I note that it is always the same on this forum (like the French forum) who complain about their feelings, the others experience it very well.
My foreskin retracted fine and my glans got stimulated before just the same way. It's not just something the circumcised can feel. The foreskin does not glide back and forth over the glans during sex, it usually rests behind the Corona.
What have I gained? And I think it's less that you gained something and more that you notice your glans more because the sensitive foreskin is gone. (which most likely was more sensitive than the glans) but that's just one of my theories.
A flexible and mobile foreskin returns to the glans even during sex, during the outward movement it comes back into place on the glans. The crown of the glans is therefore not stimulated as much as a circumcised penis.
With circumcision the glans is a little less sensitive to fine contact but the feeling in depth is much more intense. The brain area dedicated to sexual pleasure remains the same after circumcision, the absence of the foreskin means that in a few weeks the zone dedicated to the foreskin is affected to the areas of the penis around, it is cerebral plasticity.
So we always take as much pleasure even when circumcised.
Quadriplegic people experience sexual pleasure by stimulating areas of their head, their brain area of sexual pleasure has attributed this function to another part of the body,
So you have to stop believing that there has been a loss of receptors with circumcision, yes the foreskin is no longer there but other areas largely compensate. The scrotum, the nipples, the prostate... there are other erogenous zones to explore it is according to each individual.
It does not return over the glans. Not for me. Unless your foreskin is very long and loose that doesn't happen. The foreskin obviously moves a little but not over the glans. You're removing nerves when you remove the foreskin, I'm doubtful they somehow grow back into the glans. They have been removed. Why would it suddenly become a "deep feeling"?
If you're happy that's great but don't talk about it like it's some universal truth. You're fooling people. There are plenty of guys on here that are unhappy with their procedure.
I did not say that it grow black in the glans, I just said that the neurons assigned to the foreskin will take care of other sensitive receptors which will consequently be more sensitive the pleasure remains! It is valid for everyone it is called cerebral plasticity.
It is by this plasticity that a blind man will have a finer touch than a person who sees, the neurons do not disappear they take on another area of responsibility. In circumcision it is the same as the receptors of the foreskin are lost but others will be more « listened » by the brain.
No I am not the most positive, I am the only one who wastes my time on a forum while I am super satisfied!
There are only the dissatisfied who complain on the internet, the happy people put much less opinion (it is valid in all areas Tripadvisor, google...).
Might be true that more people that feel let down by the procedure complain but it also shows that there are people that are very unsatisfied by the procedure and that not all procedures go well, especially if you just go to a random urologist.
No i don't know any others
I didn't need it medically but I don't regret it. Because you.have a problem I think you'll be delighted cos the problem will be gone. As Florian says, no-one comes on here after getting circumcised just to say they are perfectly happy with it!
