Full circumcision - 16 days later not looking any better

Full circumcision done 16 days ago. The foreskin is still covering the stitches and I've not been able to see them yet. Never pulled beyond the glans. I could pull harder yeah, but doctor said to pull gently and I'm scared of breaking it. Still some bleeding and swelling.

Got it infected at day 7, had antibiotics for 7 days and got better.

Yesterday, I tried to pull it a little harder during the bath, still couldn't see stitches, almost there. Since then, it got more swelling and little more of blood (just a little). Is it cause I pulled harder or cause it is getting infected again?

I feel that getting the wound wet having baths and not being able to dry it later (cause cannot see stitches) doesn't help. However, the doctor was ok about it when I told him a few days ago.

Not sure what to do at this stage, it doesn't look like it is gonna heal any time soon.

Thanks for you help in advance.

UPDATE 3/12/2019:

I visited the surgeon and according to him everything is looking fine. For anyone in a similar situation, he mentioned that it's important to clean it on the inside. So, simply pulling it back gently (around 3-4 mm below the glans in my case) and letting soapy water run over it. Then, dry it carefully.

And thanks for all the help and support! It really made the difference :)

Maybe your stitches had dissolved. That's why you can't see it when you pulled

I didn't see them cause I never pulled beyond the glans. I know that it might sound crazy, but with the swelling I never went beyond it. Should I? Or would I open the wound?

Is it stucked to the glans ? Is it the doctor use adhesive too? Because mine use adhesive and stitches. And the glue sticked to my glans for about 10days and j wasn't able to pull back as well. But in day 13 I went to doctor she said my stitches had dissolved .if it didn't stick try pulling back to wash it as well. But remember to dry it . Use hair dryer if you dun want to touch the area

I'm not sure if he used adhesives. But it doesn't feel like it is stuck. More like the swelling making hard to uncover the area. Anyway, I'll probably schedule a visit to make sure that is not that. Thx!

Bro to me that doesn’t look like a full circumcision , looks like you’ve had a partial circumcision , even when the swelling goes down it will still cover your glands a bit, with a full circ you don’t have any skin to pull back.

Didn’t you know it’s a partial circ?

This circumcision looks great. This was known as the biblical circumcision because the corona is covered while flaccid and the urinary meatus is uncovered while flaccid. I would be curious to see his penis completely erect to see what it looks like. Wouldn’t you think, there would be advantages to having the corona covered by preserving sensitivity the corona?

that is a full circumcision. That is shaft skin that is slightly covering the head. I disappears during erection. If all the shaft skin was taken away as well you would lose sensitivity and find it very hard to orgasm. We have been left with some shaft skin to protect the rim and keep the sensitivity.

Glad to hear that. Thanks for the info.

Bro I’m low and tight, no loss of sensitivity for me . No problem in having an orgasm,

I was saying he has not had a full circumcision he as had a partial circumcision with the skin still covering part of the head it’s a partial ,

It doesn’t matter if the skin disappears when erect , a full circ is when the foreskin is below the head when flaccid so it stays clean and looks good😎

Do you understand?

Look at all the full circumcision posts on here and then look at the partial circumcision , even google it and if I’m wrong then I’ve learnt something🤯

do do know what i am talking about. I am a urologist.

Any skin left covering covering a part of the head is a partial no matter what you say , I spoke with my urologist and he confirmed this , and everything I have read confirms this , high&tight, low&tight etc are full circs,

Obviously if skin is over the head it’s a partial I don’t understand you don’t know this being that you say your are an urologist shall I post you from NHS website that explains this ?

no need I am circumcised - Fully and it looked like that for a few weeks after surgery. I think if I asked for a partial circumcision I would be laughed at.

Talked to the surgeon, it's a full circumcision.

By whom?

in reply toFosser

“Looks good” is subjective.

I know man, I thought the same. The doctor said that once the swelling is gone, I'll be able to see the whole head outside. I'm waiting to see...

I think your doctor’s right, it’ll be fine

What you are saying is not true at all. I have done research for 11 months on this topic. When I was originally circumcised they removed to much tissue. In some places, there is no shaft skin. Then please explain how the Jews were able to pull the foreskin beyond the corona to simulate uncircumcision in Ancient Greek times?? The jewish Rabbis changed it to the radical circumcision to try and discourage the Jews from restoring their foreskins. Also when they say that all membrane below the corona must be removed: are they talking about all stretchable membrane or where everything naturally lays on the penis?? In addition must all the membrane below the corona be removed such that it looks circumcised in the erect state or flaccid state?? In addition how do you make sure someone who is a grower has enough tissue to have an uninhibited erection?? After all with to much tension and not enough tissue, this could very well cause inflammation of the testicles, which is what I experienced until I finally decided to expand the tissue on my terms for 6 months with my own hands. I no longer have painful erections!! I no longer have painful ejaculation!! I no longer have to push on the pubic fat after ejaculation to prevent painful twitching of my testicles because my penis was trapped!! It did say be fruitful and multiply. It also mentioned to circumcise the flesh of the foreskin, which actually means to grab at the tip of foreskin and cut off the overhang without deliberately tearing the synechia. There is more evidence from the Torah that proves my point. I am jewish and it is wrong what is being done, you cut off the overhang, which is known as the flesh of the foreskin. This would allow the circumcision to look circumcised in the erect state as an adult. What if you have someone who is 2 inches flaccid and 8 inches erect. The biblical circumcision takes this into account.

The original Biblical circumcision of Abraham's time was a relatively minor ritual circumcision procedure in which only the redundant end of the foreskin extending beyond the tip of the glans was removed. This was called "Milah". It is from this term that the Jewish Religious Covenant circumcision ritual Bris Milah or Brith Milah got its name.

Following "Milah", a penis so circumcised would still contain a considerable portion of the foreskin and the penis would have continued to go through its natural development since most of the foreskin would have remained intact. Protection of the glans would still have occurred. The foreskin would not be stripped back off the glans and would naturally separate from the glans gradually as the child matures, much as it would had the child not been circumcised. The sensitive frenulum would not have been disturbed or moved, and the foreskin remaining would continue to cover and protect a substantial portion of the glans, especially when flaccid, and the glans would appear as uncircumcised. There would be minimal loss of sensitivity or intended protection.

This type circumcision continued throughout the ages and during the time of Christ. The circumcision of Christ would have been this type circumcision as referred to in the bible. Indeed, biblical reference to circumcision is strictly this form of circumcision. It continued into the New Testament. It has been argued that Michelangelo's David should show David as Circumcised. Interestingly, Michelangelo presented David precisely as he should have appeared following an infant "Milah" circumcision. His glans is essentially covered with only the tip of the glans showing.

Looks exactly like mine. Having the same problem. I am on week 5 now. The stitches have gone and I am left so far with a ring like step around my shaft which is very painful and looks stupid. I looked the same as you after 3 weeks but I can now see the head fully. I also have a skin ulcer on the wound site which weeps pus and is very very painful. I have been told it can take 3 months to go away. I was told that the ridge will even out after about a year and if not it will have to be redone and go through all this again. I hate the NHS, I wish I paid privately to a decent surgeon who specialises in this sort of thing. I wish I was circumcised at birth.

Thanks for sharing. I'm glad to see that this isn't uncommon. Good luck with the ring and ulcers.

I think the NHS is fantastic. It saves many people’s lives and you base your views on the aesthetics of your penis - temporary of otherwise.

Hello, I’m on day 16 as well. It looks identical to this, I also asked my urologist if it’s partial or full. He told me full, and that it’ll expose the full head after the swelling goes down. I was wondering how yours looks now? No picture is necessary, but I was wondering if the full head is exposed now since mines looks exactly like this and am wondering. Thank you.
