Does anyone here have an idea of where and how to get vasectomy operation done free of charge on the NHS?
Your suggestions and advice would be highly appreciated.

I went to my GP.
She wrote a letter and it happened quite quickly.
I don’t know if the fact that I live in Scotland made a difference.
I’d suggest that your GP is your first port of call.
Depends on where you live, postcode depending
Berkshire RG to be precised.
Have you spoken to your GP? They can advice if it’s funded in your area

Hopefully you will have managed to get your vasectomy several weeks ago before lockdown. Otherwise I suspect vasectomy and sterilisation services will have been suspended until the virus situation eases.
If you haven't already, contact your GP. I'd imagine an internet consultation would be considered appropriate at the moment and you can be referred to wherever NHS vasectomies are being done. As I say, these services may be suspended right now, but this will get you into the system. Most clinics - which may be attached to Family Planning Clinics, GP surgeries, local hospitals or agencies such as BPAS or Marie Stopes. All do "free" NHS sterilisations.
My GP wrote the referral letter there and then in front of me when I discussed it with her. I called the clinic a week later, negotiated the counselling session and then booked the op. If you are available to take a cancellation - I was - then you can get done sooner. My GP wrote her letter early September and I was sterilised within five weeks.. (I was newly single, fifty and no children) It was over ten years ago..
Good luck
