To me it looks like there is quite a bit of separation in the wound? There is minimal pain other than from night time erections, this sometimes causes a bit of blood too.
How does this look to people, should I have expected more healing / wound adherence by this point 8 days in?
As I’ve retained a decent amount of skin would the wound being covered by skin a lot of the time slow healing?
Any advice would be well received!

Hey Man, I think you're healing well everything looks fine. you have minimum stitches I think. we all heal at differently some guys slow and some fast it's normal to have some pain and bleeding after night-time erections if you try and sleep on your side in the fetal position that will help reduce them. you have some swelling that is why you're scar is covered with skin this will eventually subside and your scar will be more visible. I think you probably have a low and tight cut. hope some of this helps you. I wouldn't worry too much you're healing just fine.
Hey, I got the surgery done exactly 8 days ago as well. However in my case it appears like I healed faster than you. I also had to go through the erections and what I did was sit on my bed immediately. In relation with the healing process, I rub some ice to the wound for the healing and tbh it has been amazing.
Judging by your post it sounds like we have a kind of similar cut, with the wound being below a fold/ roll of skin.
I think that a fair bit of separation happened to mine as minimal (i think 4) stitches were used. Fingers crossed it all comes together OK and doesn’t leave a crazy scar.
I’ve only just started to do a few salt washes and it seems to have really helped tidy the wound up and encourage healing.
