Shang Ring Circumcision Healing, Is this normal? PICS

UPDATE:

Went to see urologist Friday, basically urologist has said whilst its taking longer than normal its not an infection. The scab is actually dead excess tissue from the procedure slowly breaking down and falling off, which is meant to happen, although mine is happening slower than normal which is irritating the wound underneath causing the puss build up.

Am now to clean, smother in germolene and wrap in a gauze to encourage the tissue to break down, changing daily, also no bathing allowed, only showering and thats mostly to get the gauze off without causing agony, use a baby wipe to rub the wound and remove as much dead tissue thats willing to come off each time.

Once the dead tissues off the wound will begin to heal itself faster.

Since wrapping in germolene and a gauze, found a baby wipe rolled up over germolene on wound then wrapped in a cohesive bandage (as instructed by doc) best and doesn't stick so no pain to remove - changed daily and cleaning with baby wipes in between to remove as much nasty shit gradually before re-wrapping.. Have done this for 2 days and most excess skin is now off wound is looking much healthier and I'm no longer worried.

Hope it helps others in the future if you get the shang ring and struggle to find info like I did. Sorry essay again, thanks for advice everyone !

On April 18th I received a Shang ring circumcision, was going to have the procedure done by NHS due to scaring on the foreskin making it too tight to have any enjoyable sex for months, chose to go private as consultation wasn't til September let alone the procedure and im 25 and recently single so can't be having a summer of no sex lol, after research Shang ring seemed to offer less scarring and a easier healing process with no stitches to rip out, work quite a manual job so justified it.

Procedure went smoothly under local anaesthetic, first needle in the base was most painful bit by far and can't say it didn't make me wince, but was manageable. Ring was on for 9 days then removed revealing an open wound which im now worried may be infected after nearly 2 weeks, the entire wound scabbed (yellowish scabbing not very appealing) over at one point but in last 2 days that scab has turned to a white puss like mush and fallen off revealing a sore open wound which is quite painful to touch, rubbing on clothes, sticking to pubes (shaved them off now lol) and pulling etc. I've had to take 3 extra days off work after being back for a week.

Is this normal? Should I seek out antibiotics? Im going back to see urologist who performed procedure today and will update. I've attached a picture of said wound. With the scab and what it looks like now that its falling off.

Anyone interested or need info on the shang ring process contact me, or alternatively tell me how to add multiple images and ill make a post about it proper.

Sorry for the essay, just want as much info as I can, happy to answer anything about the shang ring process, would appreciate any info on the photo showing possibly infected wound and once the rings off the wounds seem similar (minus the stitches).

Photo shows the glans underside with the yellowy scab first and then now the gooey, old scab skin. Is this normal? the raw skin under is gooey and sticks to clothes which hurts a lot.

THANKS!! Obviously photo is graphic so NSFW

Yeah en route to urologist now, ill put what he reckons on here after, no noticeably bad smell either, post op guy said some yellow discharge is normal as the ring leaves a ring of excess dead skin which eventually falls off, so could just be part of shang ring process, hard to gauge though

Best advice--see your urologist and get it checked. Shang ring circumcisions aren't very common and the healing process might differ from traditional surgery.

I have agreed with some replies. It does not look right. You must get to see your doctor immediately. You need wound care. Shang ring is not good in some cases. It will take more than 4 weeks to heal.

Yes had been doing it daily for around 20 mins a day prior to this, basically urologist has said whilst its taking longer than normal its not an infection.
