Red "band", phimosis?

I am 16 and I think I have phimosis. I cannot pull the foreskin over and at the very edge of my foreskin, there is a red "band" over it. I have masturbated before. My foreskin doesn't retract automatically during an erection, and cannot be pulled back during an erection or flaccid. Can anyone help me on here?

That certainly sounds like phimosis - if you can get an appointment with a urologist, that would be good - otherwise see your primary care doctor about it.

I had your condition. It is phimosis.

So, the red band you are talking about, is it at the base of your glans when you peel back? That is the beginning of the inner foreskin. That has always been sensitive to me.

When I would masturbate or have sex, I would not peel back because it would be too sensitive. Also, because of phimosis, it did not open up. In the few times it did. I would stop and cover my glans again, careful not to reveal it.

Try some stretching in the bath, I wish that would have worked for me, but because it only kept getting tighter my dr and I decided after battling for 10 years that it was time to get circumcised, I’m on day 12 and feel so much better, I also like the new look much better, I used to have a lot of overhang, so it’s nice to have a bare glans
