Is mood change the sign of the change?

Approaching 40 . And I feel like I am not happy in anything I do anymore I am not depressed I have no feelings like that but nothing satisfies me anymore not even sex. I feel bored with everything, life my relationship and things I do . I could go on holiday and feel bored looking forward to Christmas yes then it's over in a day and in reality didn't enjoy the actual day .I can't shake this feeling off, quite frankly being inwardly angry and most the time there isn't a need for it . I feel like I don't know what I am suppose to be doing.

This time of year can be depressing for some; it depends on how long this has been going on for you. You might ask your doctor about testing for hormone levels. Or maybe you would benefit from spiritual help - like finding meaning and purpose in life.

Do you have any other symptoms like insomnia, hot flushes, anxiety etc? Mood change is a sign but it doesn’t usually come without other symptoms x

I can relate to what you are saying. I kind of feel the same. Nothing really floats my boat! I am just trying to live in the now and not worry about it too much. Maybe we get a bit worn out as we get older!! probably. I do notice I get really flat in winter, Maybe check your hormones to see what's cooking with them?
