Hello. I’m 49 years old and began to receive testosterone about a year ago, as my female testosterone was low. Approximately 2 months ago, I began having hot flashes and night sweats, so began a estrogen patch at 0.05 mg and Progesterone orally for 12 days out of the month. My concern is that I also have Hashimoto’s and take NDT for it. My biggest fear has always been entering peri menopause, because I knew the symptoms would be similar to improperly medicated thyroid. I am taking NP, which has had many recent recalls. The night sweats are better, but my depression, fatigue and joint pain has increased. Does anyone know if estrogen, testosterone and/or progesterone effects thyroid levels?

Estrogen stimulates thyroid growth. Too little estrogen may result in not enough thyroid tissue while too much could result in an enlarged thyroid gland. Estrogen also stimulates the thyroid to make the thyroid hormone precursor, thyroglobulin.16 Oct 2018bioadaptivemedicine.com › e...
