TIL Clinical Trial start delayed

Turns out the Clinical trial company needs one more vial of blood and for it to be processed prior to allowing for tumor harvesting for my husband. Surgery had been scheduled for tomorrow morning.

Feeling disappointed as this pushes everything back, and Wayne has to make another 100 mile trip for a blood draw when he was just there all day Friday, but that's what has to happen.

Did I mention that my anxiety has continued fairly high? Yes. So. I went back to see my doc and I'm trying a beta blocker med to try to get my BP down, my skipping heartbeats back on the regular, and my anxiety decreased. I'm not a good candidate for SSRI anti-depressants since I came off them over a year ago due to increasing blood pressure side effects.

So far the start on the beta blocker has been giving me super vivid dreams and a wee bit of sleep challenges. But it's early, so I'll keep at it. Band practice and a Saturday with a long walk to the river on a spring day with my beloved was also super good medicine.

Peace,

Missy

Missy,

Sorry things had to be postponed so very frustrating I know, but the clinical trial will happen. You have come so far, and are so close. Anxiety is a beast as well. I know that we’ll myself. I’m glad they gave you some medication to try and help you out.

I will say a prayer for you and Wayne that everything sorts itself out quickly and you are back on track quickly.

Sorry to hear about the delay missy.. Terribly frustrating I imagine. Keep pushing, I know you will ❤️ be careful with BP meds. Some are being recalled. I’m glad you and your husband have things to keep the mind occupied, tremendous weight is lifted if only for a short while. I live for those moments these days.

Since my husband. takes a BP med, we checked to make sure neither prescription was in the recall :)

I completely hear you to take the good parts when you can. Slept crummy again last night with vivid dreams, but had a good afternoon at work creating an inservice for my staff for tomorrow and a wonderful phone conversation on the way home with our oldest daughter in her last college semester, so today is a win
