Went to ER this morning because Wayne has swollen right foot with no injury that has not resolved in 2 days to rule out DVT blood clot
No DVT. No apparent infection. More likely to be side effect from the Yervoy treatment from the fall. Cold compress and anti inflammatory meds til Tuesday, then discontinue because of colonoscopy 2/13 scheduled. Hoping it will resolve and not show up other places like inflammatory arthritis
Came home and our band mate drove down for practice which lifted all our spirits. My husband has Kaye’s guitar, mandolin and bass with his foot propped and iced. Heading to sleep now great full no blood clots

Missy, glad there were no blood clots. My husband has had both ankles and feet swell off and on for years for urological issues. Ever since the cancer it has never gone down anymore, it is constant. He wears compression socks everyday to help keep the blood flowing.
Compression socks are a good management tip. I've sent him into work with an ace bandage, but compression socks are, I'm sure, more effective. thank you!
I hope Wayne is seeing a little relief now from the swelling. I am sure it must be nice to have music for the distraction and I am sure the mindfulness it probably requires to play. Hope the week sees a reduction in the swelling.
thanks. His foot is still fat at the end of the work day and swelling reduced first thing in the morning. Starting today he can't take anti-inflammatory meds due to colonoscopy next week.
We have two band gigs in Newport News, VA this weekend, so at least the mental health should get a boost
