Nortryptyline: Has anyone been... - Major Depressive ...
Nortryptyline
hi, I have been on nortriptyline for over thirty years now. It was first prescribed to help sleep and cope with chronic weekly migraines. I still take it for chronic pain,arthritis and it helps with sleep and the depression that comes with chronic pain. It’s older than most antidepressants. I tried prozac and cymbalta which made me feel awful so back on nortriptyline and staying with it.
i have taken zoloft for over 20 years. i take it with impiramine 100; i started on zoloft 200 in 1992 and impiramine was added when i thought i was slipping. i played with it too many times. i didn't like the idea of needing an antidepressant so i would cut the dosage down. i would get to 75mgs and then crash and get the dosage back up to 200. in 2011 i stopped taking them. in about 4 mos, after gallbladder removal, i really crashed. the zoloft was started again and it didn;t work. so she prescribed Trintellix and impramine. it worked but i thought i could do better. the impiramine as changed to seroquel 25and after 1 month, i crashed again ending up in hospital on involuntary hold. new hospital doctor increased the seroquel to 100mgs + trintellix 10. that made me a zombie. new doctor.. went back to zoloft and impiramine and do better. I have no problems with zoloft, price is right so i'm staying with it. I hope it works for you. bunzmon {bunz is a bunny.}
