Seeking Help for My Well-being

I hope this message finds everyone well. Today, I acknowledge that I need to seek help as I may be experiencing symptoms of depression. Over the past three years, I have noticed that I tend to isolate myself and lack energy or motivation to engage in activities outside of work and taking care of my children. After some research, I believe these may be signs of depression.

Despite putting in my best efforts at work and taking care of my responsibilities at home, I find myself retreating to my room and struggling with my thoughts. This pattern has been weighing on me, and I feel it is time to seek assistance.

I am reaching out for guidance on how to begin addressing this issue and getting the help that I need. Your support in this difficult time would mean a lot to me.

Thank you for your understanding and assistance.

Same here I struggle with a diagnosis of MDD, for depression. Please understand that more people than you are depression prone, that your words encourage us. Lately I have used walking for exercise, to get cheer. I am able to share thoughts with others sometimes and reach out for help when its urgent or I am desperate for affection. My word for you today...You are capable, your gift is sharing yourself.

Hello. First thing first, because we aren't doctors or therapists, you should seek out a doctor. If you have the time, and depending where you are, there are support groups you can join in person or virtually ( in the States, check out NAMI.org). If everything goes well, the doctor will be able to help get you a referral to a specialist or, if needed, prescribe something to help. A support group, like this forum you've joined, will help with feedback and stories that may offer guidance. Just remember, depression is an amorphous jerk of a monster; what works for one person does not work for everyone. As such, don't compare yourself and your struggles to other people. Good luck.
