so lonely

I’ve struggled with making lasting connections, tend to isolate. Anyone have any suggestions on how to make new friends? Most social groups seem focused on young people, I’m in my 50s. Thanks for any input!

I’ve had that problem my whole life. Right now I am taking an art class. When I am up to it, I sometimes join a group at my church. I have done volunteer work before also. These things are good for me and open the door to friendships. I can’t say I have developed super strong friendships but I do know I have people I can talk to.

I’m thinking of volunteering at our humane society!

Good luck
