Hi my name is Annie. Im new to this community and haven't posted yet. I was born with fetal alcohol syndrom but was adopted out of the mothers care and was raised by a different better family as a 6 week old infant. The parents that raised me are now both deceased and i really have raised my kids with no support or help. I was also just diagnosed last year with autism and ADD inattentive type and intellectually disabled. My psychiatrist told me its all ties to the FAS and the autism and ADD and intellectual Disability.

welcome to the site. FAS is a nasty disability. Kudos to you for pushing through. I’ve always considered myself fortunate that my daughter wasn’t burdened with it. As I was an active alcoholic when she was born. Im so glad you had a family to raise you other than drunk parents. Alcoholism affects so many people in this world. It’s tragic.

Keep coming back here. There are a lot of supportive people in this forum. I was diagnosed with MDD, anxiety disorder, PTSD. ADHD. Add that to my alcoholism and I’m a mess. But like I said, you are in a good place here.
