Here we are approaching a brand new month. Happy February!!!

At least the UK weather is looking a little kinder this coming weekend; hopefully it won't be troubling anyone planning on running, whether at an event or otherwise. Here in BC, we have a bit more snow forecast, but hopefully not enough to cancel parkrun on Saturday 🤞

Back in the UK, we know of just one eventer at time of posting, but do let us know if you plan on racing too.

On Sunday 2nd Feb  TailChaser will be going it alone to tackle the Warwick HM. Time to face those ’undulations’ TC - we know you can do it, YOU know you can do it! Just keep on smiling and do what you do best 😊

 Shake-and-run is also hoping to get out on 2nd February; hoping to finally complete walking the Cotswold Way. Fingers firmly crossed for you Shakes.

Thank you Linda! Can’t believe it’s just me and Shake-and-run ! She’s amazing but still a bit low so we need to give her lots of love and hugs and pom poms to get her through this last push 😍

Me? Can’t say I’m looking forward to it but I’ll give it a go. Everyone seems to love it but I’ve always been scared of it! Time to face those fears!

I don’t believe that TailChaser is frightened of anything! There are a few hills involved on this run I gather (because you told me). I am sure that you will sail up and down them because your are strong and fit, but if they are too steep/too many for that, you know what to do; maybe even walk a bit like we mere mortals. Ultras do it all the time. I am sure that you will have lots of company 🙂. 👊

Have a great walk Shake-and-run ; like the last day of the Tour de France….this is a ceremonial procession 👍

😂 Thanks BC. I looked at the route last night - that might have been a mistake… Most of the hills seem to be at the start 😬 I’ll be ok, as you say, I can always walk a bit. Cut off is 3 hours though so I’d better not walk too much.

I’m not a Guinness drinker but it might be a magical combination. One of my nicest post-run experiment drinks was strawberry and kale. Who knew?

Firstly good luck TC, enjoy your HM.

thanks for the shoutout Linda, and for all the lovely folks pom pom waving. As I’m the navigator for this leg I spent a lot of time last night on Google maps street view checking the route, making sure there weren’t too many junctions with tricky signage (or no signage whatsoever). The views do look amazing so I’m looking forward to those and to a spot of lunch in Bath when we are done.
