(Chatting with my son about AI and Copilot/ChatGPT ... he asked me what I find hard on the computer; finding photos for HU posts I said; like what? he said; a winter pompom picture I said; and there it was - I may learn to love AI after all)
Edited to add: in last minute news, we also have RunBrianRun who will be racing again this coming Wednesday. You'll not need to wave those pompoms for long for Brian, so let's wave them hard and make them count! Fly Brian, fly!
Fresh from your break last week, it's once again time to dust off your pom poms and show them the New Year!
We have just one lovely eventer at time of posting - none other than aliboo70 who will be tackling the Stubbington 10k for the first time this Sunday 12th January. Ali has already overcome the biggest hurdle by actually getting an entry before it sold out, so it should be plain sailing from here on in! stubbingtongreenrunners.net... It seems this event is known for its picturesque landscape, and it purports to offer a fast course which is 'flat with some very gentle inclines' - quite unusual for IOW events I think! You've had a tough time lately Ali, so we'll be out in force with our pompoms and encouraging cheers; we have your back and look forward to your race report!
Are there any other racers this weekend that we have missed? If so, please let us know in the comments below.
We do know that our Kats - TailChaser and Katnap - are taking a flying trip to Ireland on Saturday to visit Tramore Valley parkrun in Cork. Parkrun tourism can be great fun, especially on a slightly bonkers day trip scale like this; may your flights run to schedule and you have a great day!
Whether you're racing, running or simply resting we wish everyone a fabulous weekend
Your team; Irishprincess , Beachcomber66 and me ๐
