It looks as if we have nothing to wave our pompoms for this coming week ๐ no races, no special events, no VRBs needing our sparkling support ๐คทโโ๏ธ
So, it seems like our arms and pompoms can have another rest. Unless you tell us otherwise. Have we missed anyone? Has anybody entered a race and not told us yet? If so, spill the beans here and weโll get ready for action again.
In the absence of pompom waving we can always still wave to each other โฆโฆ just becauseโฆโฆ ๐๐๐
Have a great weekend everyone, whether youโre running or not.

๐ฝFor RACES/EVENTS in February, go here to give us the details:
Iโm camped by the window waiting for the arrival of my sale shoes If they arrive I plan my longest run of the week. No idea what it is yet but Iโm not going to look at the app. I want it to be a surprise โบ๏ธ
I do know that running shop! I bought my head torch there. They were amused by my main criteria being โmust fit small headโ!! What they recommended was great,
Iโm going for a catch up with a non running friend so I might have to skip most of my usual favourites. Impressed you skipped SB. Iโm looking forward to seeing the new patterns in real life (and waiting for the sales!!)
It is beautiful today! Iโve been stuck in with workmen in the house and I canโt wait to make the most of it tomorrow. Letโs hope it stays! Iโll wave my pom poms in solidarity with you!
Just my 5k toddle up in the woods tomorrow IP. It is a new beginning though. Yesterday I went out on a 45 minute run and had to pull up short; why? because I ran the first 5k too fast without realising itโฆas in way too fast. With Christmas, and all the ice and snow, I had fallen way behind on the version of the NRC HM plan I had paused at 15k at the end of October. So I took a drastic decision; I deleted the plan!! It had ceased to be relevant, in fact it may even have been a distraction as in โjust another couple of runs and will be back at 15k.โ
I have now down loaded a pristine clear version and will start tomorrow on week 1. I can always skip weeks if I need to. Seems more sensible now than it did when I pressed the delete button!
Happy pom pom rest day everyone. Tomorrow I start my Cotswold Way walk with 10 miles from Stanton to Chipping Campden. Sunday is 30 miles on the bike. Back running on Monday.....
๐๐ waving from Lancashire. I am considering entering the Mad Dog 10k in Southport next week. However, unning along the coast road into horizontal rain and strong winds (usual weather) isn't too appealing! Happy running, happy training ๐๐
I'll take the rest of no waving then please. I can't believe I'm fighting off another cold but determined to get my longer run in Sunday as it's getting closer to my Spring half marathon and I haven't done many miles due to lurgi followed by lurgi ๐ note to self... Do not book winter races and work with littleuns... Happy running this weekend folks ๐
Belated hello, and I did the Windmill Way 10k at Suffolk Running centre with Zig Zag running on Saturday morning. I just booked it as an intermediate step to my HM in Chelmsford in March, and I really wasn't looking forward to it, but actually it turned out to be lovely - small, very friendly, low key, beautiful route and the sun shone. People were doing all distances from 5k to ultras along parts of the same route.
