Some of us have been having difficulty posting photographs this week. I know that IT have been working hard on the problem. I have been able to post photographs as usual today, so hopefully the problem has been resolved. Thanks IT 🙂
EDIT I now know that the issue doesn’t just affect iPhone and affects jpeg as well as HEIC and HEIF. I am sure that IT will continue to work on it; thanks for the responses. Defining the problem is often the hardest thing to do!

I have just managed to post two iPhone pictures. I think one issue may be (and I have mentioned this to IT) that the default photo setting on iPhone (whether just newer models or more generally I don’t know) is no longer JPEG. I see HEIC and HEIF on mine. It is possible to get your iPhone to default to JPEG ( I had to google it) but the rationale behind the iPhone change is using less storage space (all according to an article I read on the internet). Might be worth taking a look. Despite the above,I know nothing about these things!
Yes it does; but it loaded for you. I have just been looking on the internet and people used to have problems loading to some websites with HEIC..presumably that extended to HEIF too….no idea really. Nobody should mess with their phone settings on my say so! I will have a look at switching to JPEG if I have another problem.
if I click on a photo and go to share, I get an options box. If I click on that, on option is “most compatible”…then I get a choice of size and I think the outcome is a JPEG…..but ask someone who knows what they are doing 🙂
Hi Jell6, good to hear from you 🙂. They are very fine pics thanks and a reminder of warmer times! I sneaked a look at your last post; did you ever come to terms with intervals and tempo runs? I didn’t really like them until NRC plans made things really easy. I love them now….maybe I am a bit weird….🙂
I tried a few times, I think I'll give it another go when the thaw comes. I was better with the faster intervals and on reflection I think they did make a difference. I didn't really do well with the much slower stuff, sometimes I felt like I was barely above walking. Time to dig out Coach Bennett!
On the NRC intervals I developed an understanding of my mile pace,5k pace and 10k pace pretty quickly and those paces picked up week on week. Having first class athletes coaching and an app which shows the time and pace of each individual interval , so it is easy to compare week on week, got me back to sub 30 minute 5k pace…which I didn’t expect to see again!🙂
Nope, still not working here. 1.77mb PicCollage image (single image, not a collage) ending in .jpg, 1800x1800px. Same Android phone since July 2023. Same error message as in past weeks "There was a problem uploading your image. Make sure your image ends with.jpg, .jpeg or .png."
I have shared that with IT ; thanks. They wanted to see the wording of error messages , but my photographs have been loading ok since, even though they are HEIF! As our daughter would have said, “a bit random”.
As our daughter would have said, “a bit random”. 🥰
I'm guessing there might be a coding or image size issue, but it's a decade since I was involved in website SEO and I'm not a techie, never have been, never will be.
Always looking forward to spring, bit of warm weather without wind or rain. Today it's beautiful but oh so cold. I can't expect a good pace if I insist on going onto the beach and stopping to take photos but I'm just happy I can walk and run a bit. How's things with you?
That looks beautiful Sue. Running requires a steady build up, as you know. With this weather, ambition can lead to set backs and we have enough of those. Enjoy the sunshine 👍
