cheekychipmunks and her daughter, Sandraj39 and her sister and Tabbles will all be running the Great Bristol 10K, billed as an 'amazing running party', this is sure to be a lot of fun!
Runnin-g will be tackling the Runaway Train 8.5 miles Trail Race which promises a super-scenic, rugged trail race (and feast) and includes newly opened old railway lines with tunnels & viaducts that have been closed for years!
EThomas is going to smash the Rob Burrow Leeds Marathon, joining over 10,000 runners to run through scenic Leeds countryside with her OH - those nightmares will soon be a thing of the past!
OldManRunning is running his first 10K event, the Bryn Meadows Caerphilly 10K; passing iconic landmarks including the giant cheese sculpture and Tommy Cooper statue, with great views of the medieval Caerphilly castle there should be lots to distract!
Nikasa777 is running in the Green Belt Relay; as part of a team of 11 people she will run one 10 mile stage each day; do enjoy the socialising, eating and drinking too!
Alongside all of the above, our own HU HM and 10K event kicks off at 9:30am on Sunday. We have lots of entries and wish every one of our VRBs Bon Courage - the only rule is that you must have fun (and then consider telling us all about it)!!!
Has anyone else got an event this weekend or coming week? Itβs never too late for a pompom cheer. Just let us know about your event in the comments below.
Good luck and Bon Courage to all of you lovely runners. We're with you every step of the way, shouting and cheering and waving those pompoms! For anyone unable to run at the moment, for whatever reason, we send best wishes for a good weekend and week ahead.

Crikey, what an energetic lot we all are! I'll be postponing my HU HM until Friday evening of next week to better fit in with my own plans. Good luck to everyone in all these events and looking forward to reading about them on here next week.
As this is not a run, I didnβt think it should have a post of its own but as Linda kindly added it to the Pom Pom shout out , I thought I should report. I have done this ride twice before and enjoyed it but they moved the venue and altered the route so it was going to be different. Mr Shakes was doing it on his own ( at his own speedier pace) and I was riding with a friend from my ladies only cycling club. With 100k to ride we set off in chillier conditions than forecast, I was glad I had layered up. I should not have worried as it seemed as though most of the 1,300m of elevation came in the first 8k. My friend (who is french) was improving my vocabulary! The Oxfordshire roads were dreadful and descents almost as tricky as riding up the hills. We stopped at just over 48k for Eggs Benedict and Coffees. Back in the saddle the garmin decided we were off course and was trying to send me back the way we had come, after 30 mins ( and an extra hill) we were back on course and the tech settled down. We rode through the lovely grounds of Walton Hall (where I ran with Katnap and TailChaser last weekend (that tarmac is much sweeter on a bike) and crossed from Warwickshire into Gloucestershire in the last 16k giving me a chance to pop into the graveyard where my relatives are, to pay my respects. After almost 5 hours in the saddle we were back at the venue safe and sound, the joy only dampened by the fact they had run out of medals (mr shakes kindly gave me his). I was happy with my effort and it holds well for the BHF London to Brighton next month (please pm me if you would like to add coppers to my sponsorship).
