Here we are again! It's Friday and we have a fabulous posse of runners, journeying far and wide this weekend, to kick off our December racing season. On Sunday we will be represented on start lines in France, Spain and the UK, so pack those pompoms in your best suitcase and let's do our thing! These runners need our support 👏👏👏📢

So, without further ado, please get ready to cheer:

🌟 00marks who has signed up for the Valencia Marathon known for its ideal racing conditions – a flat, urban course with 'cool' December temperatures (a forecast 12 degrees when the race starts, rising to 18 as the day goes on!). After the devastation of the recent floods, I'm sure the city is looking forward to the opportunity to come together in such a positive way. Hopefully the event will also help raise much needed funds to help support the local relief effort. Bon courage 00marks!

🌟  Shake-and-run and TailChaser who will be tackling the Semi-marathon Bordeaux - providing they can tear themselves away from the Christmas Markets, French food and drink! It seems that pre and post race carb loading might be given a higher priority than the race itself! Have a blast you two, sounds like the perfect way to spend a weekend.

🌟 And last, but definitely not least, Tessie66 who will be running the Heaton Park Half Marathon. Running on paths within Heaton Park, home to a large park with a Grade 1 listed 18th century house, this race is billed as a great opportunity for a chip timed personal best. As Tessie66's first HM race, it's bound to be special. Enjoy every minute and bag that fabulous bling!

thank you for the pom pom shoutout Linda. TailChaser and I have now made it to Bordeaux and have sampled our first gastronomic experience (Octopus for supper last night, washed down with delicious cocktails). Today is the big day, we need to collect our number bibs , visit the wine museum and Christmas markets and meet the Eymet running buddies for dinner tonight. Then there is the little matter of a race tomorrow!!!

Thanks everyone for the support and bon courage to Shake-and-run , TailChaser and Tessie66 . Here in Valencia its a sunny day, quite different to the UK. I went to the Breakfast Run for a shakeout and now am trying to calm my nerves before the marathon tomorrow.
