On Wednesday, I was a bit angry with myself for signing up for this race. I've been so busy with different projects. It's an evening run and I'm a morning runner. I arrived at the event with almost two hours to spare and kept thinking I could be at home in my PJs and enjoying a take-away.
So I did a bit of a warm-up and a little jogging to keep myself occupied and thought when is this race going to start.
Finally got to the starting line and away we go. I felt like I was going at a bit faster pace than I usually like to, but it felt comfortable. My Garmin and NRC app kept giving me updates and I was maintaining that pace but it still felt good. I've been taking some of CB's advice to look at my form more often and to check in with my breathing. All seemed good.
I'm still at the back of the pack, but even found some energy to push up the pace during the last KM.
Turns out I did my PB 1 KM, 1 Mile, and taking a minute and a half off of my 5K!
Really psyched! Just goes to show you never know what the run will be until you run the run...
Thanks for all of the support that comes from the HU board!
