Out for my Sunday long run this morning and planning for 10-12k. Having worked on speed on Friday, this run was all about taking it slow and working on my endurance. π€
I made sure to set off nice and steadily and ran this run βto feelβ, trying to keep my breathing steady and hopefully my heart rate too! It was lovely out today, cool and breezy but also some sunshine at times and time just ticked away to a great playlist of songs π΅ as I ran along the local roads and headed out to the trails. Springs is in full swing isnβt it and it was lovely to see all the bluebells lining my path and the woodlands at so many points along the way. The muddy trails are drier than they were, which made progress easier too.
I think consciously keeping my pace slow really paid off, as I soon found myself revising my route and adding a little on βhere and thereβ!π Back home having ticked off 14k, my longest run in quite some time π² and feeling pleased with myself.ππββοΈ
