Perfect running weather here today, so out for my Easter Sunday long run late morning.
I ran a mixture of road and trail today. The Downslink and footpaths were still very waterlogged in places and the local clay-based soil here means that it can be really slow to drain and very sticky! Lots of puddle-splashing too!๐ฆ๐โโ๏ธ
Anyway, on I trudged - and feeling good despite the conditions, although it was nice to hit the easier roads on my way back!
12k run in total - my longest run since June last year. All those months on the injury couch now a distant memoryโฆ๐ค ๐
Happy Easter all!๐๐ฃ๐ท๐ฐ

Oh yes! They donโt stop me getting wet feet when the mud and puddles are deep of course but the uppers are sturdier and the grip better than my road shoes, so they are much better in the mud and on grassy trails. I have the Hoka Speedgoat 5โs (my road shoes are Hoka Cliftonโs) ๐๐
Excellent run Sandra. I know that โgreat to be backโ feeling; you have captured it brilliantly. So good to hear.
You chose a good day in terms of weatherโฆ.Mondays are my long run days; tomorrow is supposed to be wet and coldโฆ..hey ho! Character forming my old mum would have said ๐
That sounds wonderful. It always amazes me how slowly recovery goes, yet how quickly I forget and simply get to enjoy the milestones all over again ๐. So glad you're back ๐ฅฐ.
