Well, thanks to the inspiration from Tasha99 that's it . RED January done. So pleased to have completed it.
I really have enjoyed the challenge and I am going to miss it but know I must reduce the frequency of my runs as the length of the runs in my HM plan increase. Over last 2 days I have start to get a few unusual twinges in my feet/ankles when running. So time for a rest day tomorrow and then back to focusing on my HM plan but I a much more positive frame of mind.Main features of RED for me:
● I discovered that a quick 15 minute run even after one of those days at work when I really don't want to move is not only possible but enjoyable-once I get going.
● My mileage was my highest since February 2021. I CAN still do this !
● I have discovered that MR Garmin likes the daily short runs according to VO2 max but coach Greg who lives alongside him in my watch prefers the long slow runs !
● It hurts when you fall over .
I STILL LOVE RUNNING 🏃♀️

Thank you AlMorr . I Hooe you are keeping well! I have a meal out with colleagues after work tomorrow to celebrate the end of January so that ties in nicely with my rest day!
Thanks for asking Week7, I am keeping very well, this morning I was hoping I could run 8K in under a hour, I started running just as the sun rose at ten past eight, it was very windy but I ran in the woods where there was a lot of shelter from the trees, I managed to run that 8K in less than a hour, my time was 00:59:37.
That is a great achievement Week7. A really good start to the year. I have a similar relationship with V02 max, which works on the basis that if it goes up, that’s brilliant; if it goes down…..I just ignore it 👍
