Hello runny friends!!! We've had a week off and I trust you are well rested and ready to go again.
I will be in good company, as we have some lovely VRBs racing this weekend.
At the time of writing, everyone we know of will be heading for their respective start lines on Sunday, so, without further ado, would you raise those pompoms and give your loudest cheer:
βοΈFirst up, we have the terrific trio TailChaser , Katnap and Shake-and-run whowill once again be tackling that hilly 10k (this time the fourth run of five) in The Tempo Winter Series, no doubt hoping for a tailwind up the hill (that late start looks to guarantee some blustery weather). Hope you have a wonderful time, have something creative lined up for the sausage reward, and just know the hoody is almost yours - don't forget we love your race reports too π₯°
βοΈNext we have the magnificent Mudita11 , out for the second time this month. This time she will be running the Romsey 5 mile, a flat race in the beautiful grounds of the Broadland Estate with a superb medal to boot - what's not to love?Hopefully you'll be back before the wind really picks up. Have a great one Mudita, do tell us all about it π
βοΈAnd then, being up the rear we have Couchpotato2 and myself jogging around the Farnborough Winter Half, fighting some pretty blustery winds if the forecast is to believed. Billed as the coolest race in the UK (cold temperatures, notπ) we're approaching it as less of a race, more a shameless bling quest π€·ββοΈ. With cake and hot drinks at the end, there's quite an incentive to make that finish line!!!
If weβve missed anyone with an event this coming weekend or in the next week, then do let us know below.
Racing or not, running or not, have a great week everyone.
Your Team, Irishprincess, Beachcomber66 and Linda9389 xxx

π½ For any races/events in the rest of JANUARY head here to give us the details:
pom-poms waving for the sausage chasing TailChaser , Katnap and Shake-and-run , fellow south coaster Mudita11 and cake searcher Couchpotato2 . May the weather be good for you.
Good luck all you wonderful runners! ππππββοΈππΎββοΈ It does look as though as the temperature rises a little, the wind moves inβ¦but youβre runnersβ¦youβre toughπ¬and we are cheering you all the way!
Iβm interested to hear how the Farnborough Half is linda9389 , as this is one that I have looked at in the past as itβs not too far from me (assuming I can ever build my distance up that much again! π€·ββοΈππββοΈ).
Pom poms waving furiously from here oop in the frozen north. Well done the sausage muncher 3; I think I need some sausages to keep my body temperature upβ¦so if there are any spare bangers around, I am your man. Mudita11 enjoy your run down there in River Test territory; I would probably abandon the run and slope off to enjoy watching trout! Last but definitely not least Couchpotato2 and linda9389 (one of my two new bosses so have to keep her sweet π) have a wonderful dayπ
I did Farnborough HM in 2021 when they moved in to July because of Covid. A really well organised event. Mainly flat, with a little bit of elevation. Lovely and warm as I seem to remember...
Oh dear, is it that time to run up the hill again?! π At have the added impetus of getting to choose our hoody size this month, so a surprisingly good bit of encouragement!
Good luck also to linda9389 , Β Mudita11 and Β Couchpotato2 and everyone else out there this weekend. If itβs a windy one, hereβs hoping we get blow round and up by a tailwind π€π€π€ π₯³π₯³π₯³
Thank you for the wonderful wishes and shakes of pom-poms! Fingers crossed for a tail wind π€πΌ and good luck linda9389 Couchpotato2 Katnap TailChaser Shake-and-run with your amazing events! ππΌββοΈπββοΈππΌββοΈπππ
