Oh, do we have some fabulous racing this weekend!

Calling all pom pom holders - the time is now, your amazing VRBs are ready for you!

On Sunday 27th August:

🏃‍♂️ First up we have Time_Lord who will be tackling the Spitfire 10k at Cosford; running laps around the tarmac airfield, we do hope it's a little cooler for you this time around 🌥️

🏃‍♂️Next we have Freecloud who is once again heading for the start line, this time for the Abbot Longford marathon. This will be Freecloud's second marathon this year and we are sure all your prep and training will pay off - go smash it 👊

🏃‍♂️And then we have another 'class of 2018' gathering; this time representatives of the intrepid crew - cheekychipmunks Dexy5 UpTheStanley TailChaser Katnap and Week7 will all be heading to Chepstow. While TC and Katnap run the Severn Bridge HM, Cheeky, Dexy, UTS and Week7 will run the Severn Bridge10k. What a turnout! Get to the top of that final hill folks, and it will be time to party 🥳

🚴‍♂️ Finally, a mention for  Shake-and-run who will be riding 100 miles in a day, doing a recce for an event she is organising in September. We wish you luck Shakes!!!

And then, on Wednesday 30th August:

🏃‍♂️Cantstopmenow will be jumping into a minibus to head north for the Blackpool Night Run, running 7.5k in support of a local children's hospice. The lure of fish, chips and beer should get you to that finish line in record time CSMN!

Thank you linda9389 and fellow runners. I’ve wanted to do this run from Wales to England and back since the first time cheekychipmunks did it and posted on here. So far it looks like a dry, cool, cloudy morning . Perfect running conditions! I’m not in peak running fitness but hoping to complete it one way or another.

It’s also a great opportunity to meet up with some HU buddies.

I have run plenty of longer distances in previous years  over61andstilltrying , but not recently. I’ve been taking my running very easy of late, which I love though! I’ve got rather used to bimbling around snail fashion! 😅

Thankyou linda9389 and everyone for the pompoms . I will be needing them for the final hill. I am not as fit as last year but VERY excited. I have never met any VRB's so will be looking around carefully to see if I can spot any of the famous "class of 2018" runners![My Pre race excitement will build even further tomorrow when I collect my bib]
