STOP PRESS: a last minute addition for GTFC and Tasha99 who will be running tonight, so there's no time to rest fellow pompommers!!!
Hello lovely VRBsΒ πΒ Yes, it's Friday again and that can mean only one thing!
Hopefully the weather will be a little kinder for our wonderful racing friends this weekend, but I'm sure our support will be just as welcome as ever. So, without further ado let's raise our pompoms and cheer as loud as we can because:
βοΈ This evening GTFC and Tasha99 will be running the 2023 Ali Brownlee 5k in Middlesbrough, in remembrance of a well known local radio presenter, known for his passionate football commentaries; appropriately the finish line is right in the middle of the Riverside Stadium - hope you'll be met by lots of cheers!
βοΈ On Saturday Β Β Time_Lord will be chasing yet more bling at the Birmingham & Black Country Half Marathon; a point to point race along canal towpaths featuring floating drink stations (canal barges) every three miles - now, that's different!
βοΈ Then on Sunday Β Β Curlygurly2 will be running the Race for Life Cambridge 5k, taking in some of the most impressive sites and views of the beautiful historic city and supporting a great cause at the same time
βοΈ Also on Sunday Β Β Cowladyrunning will be running among the glorious trees of the arboretum for the Westonbirt 10k, which features one feast station on route (now, that sounds good!) relishrunningraces.com/west...
So from a very green and rather soggy Ireland, I will raise my smartest shamrock pompoms and say Bon Courage everyone but, above of all, have fun and do tell us all about it π₯°
If we've missed anyone, do let us know in the comments below.

Good luck everybody. Thatβs quite a selection of different races. Running alongside a canal and running in an arboretum are still on my list of runs to do, so I look forward to your run reports. A feast station sounds a great idea. Race for life is so emotional when reading messages on peopleβs bibs, so much fun too with pink everywhere you look.
Good luck to you Dean and Tasha for your evening 5K at Middlesbrough tonight and you mentioned last week that you would be running at Hartlepool parkrun tomorrow. β β ππ π
Shaking some very large US, star spangled, pom poms here for everyone running this weekend. Curlygurly2 , Cowladyrunning , Time_Lord , GTFC and Tasha99 , go smash it!! π₯³π₯³π₯³
GTFC and Tasha99 have a brilliant run. That's originally my part of the world, well Redcar, Marske and Saltburn to be precise ,but know that area well. What a fantastic atmosphere it will be. Have fun!!!ππ
Pom poms waving in Derbyshire. I hope you all have a really good time and I look forward to reading all about it. πππ»ββοΈππ»ββοΈπββοΈπββοΈπ
