I am doing the London landmarks half Marathon on 2nd April after failing to get a ballot place I secured a charity place with Tommys. To date I have raised £500 !
Really looking forward to this as I have put a fair bit of training in to cover the distance and beyond ( have done a couple of training runs supporting a friend doing London Marathon)
Currently have a chest infection but hoping it’s all clear by next week as I havnt ran much over last few days .

Good Luck dory950 . It should be a fantastic day. I’m going to spectate and cheer and hold a bag for a friend. I will be cheering you on to the finish line
I ran this in 2019, it was amazing! So much support along the entire route. Tale it easy while you clear that chest infection - all the hard work is already done so now rest, recover and take advantage of fresh legs on the day. Bon courage and good luck 😊
Could you face some gentle yoga while you are resting? Take a look at Adriene's runners routines on youtube. I've put links below for ones I do, but she has more run focused ones too. They would help keep you nicely stretched without being too taxing, but more to the point you would at least feel you were doing something!
Remember, adaptability and patience are two key runner skills - time to practice them 😍
Good luck dory950..I did this race last year. It was my 1st half marathon (and so far only!) and it was an amazing event. The atmosphere, live music and support around the whole route will help you around even if you're not 100% after your chest infection. Be kind to yourself and enjoy whatever the day gives you😊
everyone is saying the same 😊 feeling a little better thank you but now covid positive 🙈 but I don’t feel as bad as I did a few days ago . Hopefully be ok for the 2nd to enjoy the day 😊
thank you and I hope ypu enjoy it too. I’m in wave 5 . The chest infection turned out to be Covid 🙈avoided it for 3 years , however it’s gone now just have a bit of a cough . Really looking forward to having a great time
