Hi running friends, hope you’re all ok and enjoying the slightly lower temperatures we’ve had this week.
Following on from my 25km run last Sunday, I ran another half marathon this morning in preparation for the virtual London Marathon in 6 week’s time.
I’m so fortunate to have some great friends from my running club to run with while training - it makes it easier somehow. I’m also very lucky to be able to run largely off-road in the Sussex countryside where we can avoid most of the traffic👍
My training plan suggests 3 more long runs between now and 2 October, but I’m running the Littlehampton 10K on 4 September so I’ll just be doing 2 more long runs I think. I’m fairly confident now that I’ll be able to do the marathon. As it’s my first I’m bound to get a PB and finishing is all that matters. Two of my running club friends have also signed up for the virtual version, so hopefully we’ll be able to run together 🤞
