Tim’s run - 8k in Church Lawton

I was greatly saddened to read first from Tim of his Cancer Diagnosis and then to hear of his passing. When I first started C25k running after my Retirement in September 2019 he was so lovely welcoming me to the forum and offering great words of advice and encouragement which I still adhere to to this day, who’d of thought within a couple of years I’d run a half marathon distance! Certainly not me having not run since leaving school!!

Well this is my first post in a long time after an eventful year being diagnosed with Breast Cancer at the start of the year. I have been up and running regularly but slowly from about August time following my op and radiation treatment and the joy of getting out and running has been a major driver in getting back to a reasonable fitness level!

The fact that I was called sporty and athletic by the medical team made me giggle - never been called that before in my life.

My photo is my happy place in all weathers - Bluebell Wood, such an uplifting feeling when running through.

So thank you Tim for all that advice and guidance and to keep going no matter how slow and enjoy running at your own level and pace.

Happy Running in a glorious sky 🏃‍♂️

all the best for your ongoing treatment Over62 . My friend is going through similar and I know it’s not pleasant and can take away your energy. You will know when it’s right to run and right to rest.

thank you Dexy5 - very true the stamina has been slow to build up and I’m getting there slowly but surely. Hope your friend is coming through it all too.

What lovely thoughts. It's so good to hear you are back out and enjoying running and your happy place once again.

How lovely to be called sporty and athletic, especially when things were as tough as they must have been at the time. ❤️
