A short 8km run in persistent rain and darkness, with Johnny Cash in the cans. A tribute to Tim. A run as relaxing as it can be, on my own as always, as quiet as possible through London traffic. Photo? The choice between puddles, London buses with steamy windows and shop fronts with people sheltering under the awnings - or something else? Let it rather be something else, the legs take a lot of credit anyway.

Good run for you mrrun in tribute to the great Tim, I am not sure if I would call it quiet running through traffic in London 😂anyway well done on completing that 8K run in the rain and darkness.
No other choice, Al. Well, at least l focused on Johnny’s lyrics a bit more, through the droplets. 😉
Haha! Quite the contrast to all the pics of autumn leaves 😍 But it's whatever floats the soul, right?
Quite! The plan was to go along the Thames and shoot some of the lovely sites along the route. Then l thought, hang on, this is Streatham, it’s raining, it’s dark, let’s make this real. I nearly took a picture of a local kebab shop but then wasn’t sure if Tim liked kebabs.
Well done! Nothing like Johnny Cash for those lonely rainy runs
perfect

Johnny Cash and running…. Now there’s a thought 🙂
Trust me, that stuff works (for as long as you’ve got a playlist that suits you 😉)!
I grew up with C&W music, it was pretty big in Ireland at the time. In fact, I was in a shop (in Ireland) last week and a Johnny Cash song was playing. Another customer came in and complained, jokingly, about JC and it then became a bit of a “thing” between the two of us discussing the merits or not of his music. Very amusing.
I normally listen to big, epic, orchestral pieces that keep my blood pumping but JC would definitely slow it down 🙂
My choice went with his last series (American Recordings) where the great man sang some moody covers accompanied mostly by a solitary guitar. Running through hazy autumn colours while listening to ‘bad luck wind been blowin' at my back, I was born to bring trouble to wherever I'm at’ definitely brings another dimension to one’s running pace. 😅
