Tim’s Run: Bristol

I needed this run. I did it for Tim, and Tim helped me when my energy flagged. I remembered his words of wisdom, smiled and plodded on. As ever, it helped - of course it did. ❤️

I’ve lost untold amounts of fitness recently. I thought it was almost back, but another (not so severe) cold has its grips on me, plus I have a blocked ear which is very unsettling when you sing in 2 choirs!

I certainly wasn’t going to let such insignificant matters prevent me from running this morning, so 10k done under grey skies in Bristol. RIP Tim. We’re all smiling for you today. 🥰

Thanks Shake-and-run . Not the brightest of days, but I thought the Suspension Bridge looked lovely regardless 😍

It really did Dexy5 . It was pretty gloomy, but the bridge always looks lovely, and I wanted to capture it on the day of my run. 😍

You’re welcome Oldfloss . Thanks for organising this. Shame it wasn’t a brighter day, but I hope you agree the Clifton Suspension Bridge is lovely in any weather. 😍

Congratulations CC on running 10K this morning in memory of Tim, sorry about your blocked ear, that will be awkward when singing in your choir, does the choir sing classical, folk or country music? there will be a lot of choir music sang in the next few weeks leading up to Christmas, I am going to a Christmas choir concert on Thursday 15th December 🎄

Thanks AlMorr . 😀 It was nice to do 10k after a very light week indeed, and doing it for Tim made it special. 🥰

My ear doesn’t hurt thankfully, but it’s taking a long time to unblock. I have a GP appointment on Wednesday so hopefully they’ll sort it for me. 🤞 One of the choirs I sing with does a huge eclectic mix of songs from 13th century to pop, and everything in between. The other is just pop, and much easier. Both are great fun and both have Christmas concerts coming up. 🎄🎶 It would help if my ear was ok for those! 🤞🤞

I just hope that your ear will clear by the time of your Christmas concert..

Me too Al. All I can hear when I’m singing is me. 😳

Thanks Sandie1961 . A slow plod, but I was pleased to have done 10k. I’ve been very lax recently and my mileage is way down.

Thanks JonathanP . Yes, it tried its best to come out, but never made much progress! It’s an atmospheric photo, so I was pleased regardless. 😀

Lovely picture and great run CC. My fitness has suffered too; AHR is up and, accordingly, VO2 max is down. We will get there eventually.

Thanks BC. I just checked my VO2 max and it’s down a point too. No surprise there.

I’m going to rehome some of my snails in 2023. Of course some will always stick around, but I don’t want the whole herd, which is what I appear to have at the moment. Care to join me in snail shedding? 🐌 🐌 ➡️

I have built hills into my comeback runs, so any pace will come later on. Strength and fitness first for me.
