The Paris Marathon 2023 is scheduled for Sunday April 2 2023. It begins on the Champs-Elysées, passes via the Grand Palais, the Place de la Concorde, alongside the Louvre, then to the Opéra (Opéra Garnier), then to the Place de la République, on its way to the Bois de Vincennes which the race encircles. Then returning along the banks of the Seine (Quais de la Seine), via the Eiffel Tower to the Bois de Boulogne. The arrival is on the Avenue Foch which adjoins the Champs Elysées. I will not be taking part as I would only be ready for at the most a 10km race by April next year.

Thanks for the information Comte , kind of you to post it.
I won't be taking part either, because running round a city with thousands of other, even somewhere as beautiful as Paris, is my idea of hell. Give me my hills any day!
Sounds fabulous Comte. I’m not marathon material, although I’d train hard if I was successful in the London ballot. Bet it’s wonderful running through beautiful Paris. 😍
I won’t be taking part unfortunately as a HM is my absolute max 🤣 but I did run La Parisienne in September, 10k taking in Paris sights. I may do it again next year, we shall see! 😊
Your 10k race in Paris sounded great Frenc. I loved the London Vitality 10000 this year, and got a 10k PB. Unlike CMoi, I thrive in the big races and cheering crowds. LM is too long for me though. Training for 10 miles is enough!
Thank you Dexy5 😊. I agree, 10 miles is ample isn’t it! Well done on that PB in the London Vitality. I don’t have enough race experience to know if they’re for me or not yet but yes, the roar of the crowd was quite something 😊.
I believe the requirements are that either one belongs to some sports association or one provides a medical certificate for a particular race. It is very unlikely that the medical certificate requirement has been dropped as, for example, all parkruns here in France have been suspended for the time being exactly because of legal conditions over safety and medical certificates. I had to supply a medical certificate for the 5km La Levalloisienne race in which I competed a week ago.
