Well October was something of a bumper month for event entries wasn't it?
I reckon we will have a few more in NOVEMBER too π
Let us know of your event by leaving the details here and weβll add them to the spreadsheet and give you a massive pompom shout-out the Friday beforehand.
Tell us the name of the event, the date and a link to the website if you can, so your VRBs can check out all the details.
Any country, any distance, any event!!! Let us know below β¬οΈ
In the meantime, goodluck with your training - you've got this! πͺ
Umβ¦wellβ¦it wouldnβt be the same if I didnβt have one Linda π Winter Series No.2 on 20th November. 10km up Lark Stoke in the opposite direction, all for a packet of sausages and a fifth of a hoodie. Katnap will hopefully be joining me.
I donβt think they do age categories π€. Not that Iβve ever noticed π
The field is tiny! He only needs 15 runners for it to be a goer.
The race I ran on Saturday had ages in ten years increments. I managed 7th. The First Lady in the 60-70 bracket romped it in 40 minutes π₯πͺπββοΈπ. There are some mature ladies ripping it up out there π
ο»ΏHey, I'm taking part in the Maspalomas 10k in Gran Canaria on Sunday 20th Nov. It will be the first time I've ever taken part in an organised event. I signed up earlier this year after completing couch to 5k just to give me something to aim for. I've since completed Juju's Magic plan 10k, but it will be an experience running with others, although I'm feeling a little apprehensive. Maybe I'll sign up for the full Maspalomas marathon next November!
We're going up tomorrow to recce the end, as I think it might be a little dark when we're finishing. But I'm hoping for some fireworks as we return to civilisation on the actual race day!
Hi y'all, I'm running my fist full marathon this Saturday in Clonakilty in Cork. I saw it on fb and thought to far away and I might not be ready. I ran a 3/4 in October and 1 in September and have more or less been sticking to training plans so decided to go for it. I haven't got any expectations and am doing it for the experience. The weather doesn't look too promising, but I was drenched and blown all over the place this morning and I still want to do it.
I think it will sign off my fist full year of running and hopefully show how far I have come.
