Hi IP! Can’t believe it’s come round so quickly, but next month it’s time for my favourite race again, the Severn Bridge 10k on August 28th. All I’m hoping is that it’s not 28 degrees like it was the first time I did it! This’ll be my 4th time and my daughter is doing it with me. More than likely it’ll be her first ever 10k too! But she has that inbuilt natural ability to run with zero training. Ahh to be 28 again! 😅
You ole’ name dropper you 😁. I liked her in that romcom thing with Adam Faith. Love Hurts! That’s the one. She plays a fab Ariadne Oliver Poirot on telly. She of the dark brown voice. Too few of those since Joan Greenwood and Fenella Fielding 😀

Ahem, Miss W. - Zoe drops MY name! 😆 I haven't seen any of those programmes, but I believe she actually enjoyed "My Family" I met her in connection with a Miss Marple movie she made, saw it later and she was great in it Nice lady, very attractive features and clever sense of humour
Hi IP, I am doing a Taupo Half Marathon on saturday 6th August with my sister. Our first running even together Its about 3.5-4hrs drive from where I live but she loved the look of the medal and wanted us both to have it now that I have started running too, lol.Accomodation booked as well so no backing out now!

Don't worry Me_time , even though the forum is UK-based, quite a few of us don't live there and not everyone's a Brit either. I'm in France, originally from the UK, now dual national.
Im entering my first 10km on Friday 12th August. Its known apparently as the cake run, as all finishers get a slice of cake as well as their medal, well, what's not to like??!!! 🍰🧁🥞. Its official name is the Sleaford Striders Summer 10km. Really looking forward to it, although Im slightly nervous as is my first 'proper' race for a long time. 😆
Hi IP , I will be running Severn Bridge 10k on August 28th. Training hasn't been quite according to plan . I am much slower than previously but know that I can cover the distance so my aim is just to go and enjoy the fact that I can now join a run which I used to see advertised each year as I travelled over the Bridge thinking-"if only I could run!"
