Hi everyone, thanks to those of you who offered advice recently on how to help very painful balls of my feet. I have followed most of the help and advice, including looking at the different ways to lace up your running shoes.
My question is, does anyone else use Elasticated laces? I've always used them, and always thought that A) you don't need to undo and retie your shoes every time you put them on and take them off and also mine are reflective, so adds to me being seen when running in the dark and B) they can adapt when you're running with having some ' give' in them.
My other half years ago used to compete in triathlons and swore by them, so I've always used them, but does anyone else?

Thanks Roseabi, I like them and they're so easy to use. Someone suggested that perhaps they were causing the issues with the balls of my feet, but I can't see how, as I don't have them too tight. Glad someone else uses them too! 😃🏃♀️
I got My last set from Amazon , approx £6-7 for two pairs. Brilliant in the dark really reflective! I like them because they can expand as your foot moves. Well worth trying, I wouldn't go back to ordinary ones now!
Interesting. On occasion the top of my left foot can get uncomfortable as my feet expand slightly whilst running, usually if I’ve tied my (non-stretchy) laces too tight. Having to stop to readjust is annoying so I will need to check out your suggestion.
Hi give them a go, that's one of the reasons I got them, so they expand as you need them. I got my last 2 pairs from Amazon and they're great. Also have you tried lacing up your shoes differently? @Katnap gave me a link to tying your laces depending on your foot style. I have very high arches and so tried the way the link suggested last night when out for a 5 mile run, and no pain! Granted I've also bought sone good supportive sicks, but reckon both method have helped. I'm in my mobile at the moment and have tried to cut and paste the link below. If it doesn't work, I'll log into my laptop when I'm home from work and repost. healthunlocked.com/redirect...
Thanks, the link worked fine. I have played around with different lacing techniques. With variable results. I'll certainly check out the elasticated laces.
