Finally did the half that I should’ve done before lockdown1! Lots of smiles out and about on the streets in MK today. I’ve now visited parts of the town (or is it a city?) that I’ve never seen before, including a lovely little village with oldy worldy thatch cottages and a pretty church - who knew?! Anyway, I had goals; beat 2:30, be less than an hour behind my OH, beat at least 1 club runner and not be too far behind the first marathoner when we got back to the stadium.
How did it go? I hear you all ask!
2:26!!!! - so chuffed.
The OH did it in 1:34 so I was inside the hour.
My club chum did it in 2:30
The first Marathon runner came in at…….2:29
4/4😊
I used my discount to treat myself to new trainers and pigged out on brioche, crisps, banana milk and coffee. All following a bout of stomach cramps which had me walking at mile 11🙄. Now getting ready for my roast dinner (postponed from yesterday so I could carb load it a bit!)
As Del Boy said to Rodney - “I’ve had worse days”!
Hope you all had a good one too.😊

Congratulations to you Katiepops on completing the MK Half Marathon, this has been a very busy day for running, there was also a MK Marathon and of course The London Vitality 10,000, enjoy your roast dinner, you deserve it.
I mean total success!! Well done and hopefully see you there next year (I did it as my first HM in December and I know that pretty place you mention, that's when i decided that maybe I shouldnt have sped up)
